Egnyte Spokane Feeds Hope to Inland Northwest

I love where I work! There, I said it.I don’t just love my job and the fact that I have a place of employment, but I love the people and the opportunities we as a team have gained by working at Egnyte.

Last month, Egnyte gave our Spokane office (or Egnyte North as we like to call it) the opportunity to set aside the daily grind to volunteer at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Spokane. They are a tremendous organization that helps feed more than 55,000 hungry people in the Inland Northwest every week! This was a very enlightening and humbling experience as we learned that to help stop hunger, it doesn’t end with a simple food donation. Organizations like Second Harvest also rely on volunteers to help with ongoing food sorting, food drives, bulk food repackaging and other general office needs. Our team focused our time on sorting, boxing, and packaging over 17 thousand pounds of fingerling potatoes, equating to feeding 14,000 families. Not only did we get the opportunity to help with a worthy cause, but we were also able to bond as a work family while doing so. Community involvement should always be an option when considering an event to help bring your team closer and when choosing an employer.Note, we’re a competitive group of people (especially in the Spokane office), and if there are any organizations in the region looking to do a volunteer challenge, we’re up for some friendly competition to help our neighbors in need.
